Religious awards are offered to scouts of all ages. They are a supplement to religious education programs of the Church. In earning the awards, scouts explore their faith in relationship to church, family and friends in a scout context. After completing the award, the scout is recognized at a special ceremony at the Diocesan “Cathedral Award Ceremony” or in their local parish.
Awards are earned by completing projects outlined in awards books available for each program, and in some cases are completed by working through a religious awards counselor. Programs are available for:
- Boy Scouts and Co-ed Venture Crew members
- Girl Scouts USA
- American Heritage Girls
- National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) Patch Programs
