St. John Vianney's Young Adults Ministry
St. John Vianney Parish, 10497 Coloma Road, Rancho Cordova, CA  95670

SJV Young Adults is an old ministry which has been rebooted in 2022. This ministry is dedicated to serving and connecting the young adults (18-39) of the parish and greater Rancho Cordova area.
Just as the Blessed Virgin Mary gave her "yes" to God when she said "let it be done to me according to thy word" - fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum - we likewise strive to say "yes" to God on a daily basis, especially in a world that is critical and hostile toward God's One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Young and Married

Christ The King Passionist Retreat Center, 6520 Van Maren Ln, Citrus Heights, CA 95621

Young and Married is a place for married Catholic couples to gather together and share in their faith and journeys within the vocation of marriage. It is our mission to see that the married couples establish a solid foundation for a successful Godly marriage! We believe strongly in order to have a healthy marriage, Christ must be in the center of it. Every session is an opportunity to grow in knowledge about the sacrament of marriage, to grow in love among each other and, most importantly, to grow in love with God. Marriage is a gift to the world, and Young and Married reminds us we are called to form families that can fulfill God’s necessity in today’s society. We want and need the appropriate tools to do such an important task, and through this ministry we are finding them. Each session is facilitated by Priests, Deacon Couples and young married couples.

Meetings: 3rd Sundays of the month, except summer, 3pm-5pm

To the Heights

To the Heights exists for today’s modern young adult (18-39yrs). Our driving force is the acknowledgement of the restlessness in our hearts for a life of adventure and the discovery of our deeper purpose. Along our expeditions, we seek to encounter God’s love for us through the witness, wonder, and awe of His beautiful creation. But even greater than this, we yearn to discover His love in its purest and most dynamic form: the communion, prayer, and fellowship we experience together as Catholic Christians.

Here the fresh air of the mountains, forests, beaches, and valleys give the human heart freedom to breathe, opening each of us to receive the very breath of God’s life within the soul.  Enwrapped together within this awe, communion, prayer, freedom, fellowship, and renewal, our past is redeemed by the saving power of Christ and our future only has one destination…TO THE HEIGHTS!
