Mission Statement
The Black Catholic Ministry (BCM) of the Diocese of Sacramento mission is to evangelize, catechize, and celebrate Black Catholics by promoting the development of Black spirituality.
VISION
It takes a village to empower leaders to enrich the Church in Black Spirituality.
What we do…
Under the Office of Family, Faith, Formation, and Young People, the BCM works together in a spirit of unity with the bishop, parishes, and leadership groups. We equip leaders with evangelization tools and resources to carry out the mission. We witness and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ through, spiritual retreats, and social justice gatherings.
Who we are…
We are a representative body composed of laity, religious, and clergy from various parishes throughout the diocese.
BCM Groups
BCM Member Groups are groups serving at various parishes throughout the diocese who share and express the rich cultural heritage of Black Catholics.
