Parishes are evangelizing communities of faith, justice and solidarity. It is where we encounter God, and where we are called to bring God’s love, to a world in desperate need of the seasoning of the gospel.
Throughout this series, we will explore how we can integrate the Elements of Parish Social Ministry (Advocacy, Solidarity, Community Organizing and Charity) within the life of the parish so that we may be “salt of the earth” and “light of the world” in our communities (cf. Mt 5:13-16)
Session 5, November 18: The Sacraments and Charity are Insperable
Love in action is an "indispensable expression" of the Church's being. Nourished and called to action by the sacraments, we go forth in holiness and in a life of charity. In this session, we will explore how holiness and charity lives within each parish ministry in building the Kingdom of God.
