Liturgy Formation Series
Presented by the Diocese of Sacramento Liturgical Commission, Office of Worship, and Office of Family & Faith Formation (OFFF).
A six-part series for liturgy committee members, liturgy coordinators, liturgical ministers, musicians, as well as teachers, catechists and those who do sacramental preparation.
Purpose: To promote the fully conscious and active participation of all the faithful by forming qualified liturgical leaders to achieve beautiful and dignified liturgies according to the teachings of the Church. Drawing upon Sacred Scripture and primary liturgical documents, this series offers a comprehensive introduction to liturgical principles and practices through selected readings, lecture, discussion, and individual projects. Practical application will be emphasized.
Attending all sessions of the series fulfill the course requirements to apply for a Ministry Specialization Certificate in Liturgy, or Liturgy Specialization Certificate from the Diocese of Sacramento. There are other requirements to the application including a Basic Ministry/Catechist Certificate. (This is not necessary, but recommended if you are not applying for a Specialized Certificate)
While this formation is available for all, it is recommended you have experience in foundational formation in the catholic faith. A few suggestions for this formation would be:
- Catechetical Foundations - (Basic Formation Course) through the diocese of Sacramento. www.scd.org/catecheticalfoundations. *This course fulfills the requirements for Basic Ministry/Catechist Certification

Serie de formación litúrgica
Presentado por la Comisión Litúrgica de la Diócesis de Sacramento, Oficina de Culto Divino, y Oficina de Familia y Formación en la Fe (OFFF).
Serie de cinco partes para miembros de comités de liturgia, coordinadores de liturgia, ministros litúrgicos, músicos, así como maestros, catequistas y aquellos que hacen preparación sacramental.
Propósito: Promover la participación plena consciente y activa de todos los fieles formando líderes litúrgicos calificados para lograr liturgias hermosas y dignas de acuerdo con las enseñanzas de la Iglesia. Basándose en la Sagrada Escritura y los documentos litúrgicos básicos, esta serie ofrece una introducción completa a los principios y prácticas litúrgicos a través de lecturas seleccionadas, conferencias, discusiones y proyectos individuales. Se enfatizará la aplicación práctica.
