The message of Lourdes is a Eucharistic message.

Many press their hands to grotto walls transmitting a prayer to the Blessed Mother of consolation who has provided this haven for all the afflicted.

The whole pilgrimage becomes a Divine Liturgy. 

What was for many of the malades a reason for feeling isolated and alone before the pilgrimage becomes the common bond that unites hearts in seeking the mercy of Jesus in the tranquil sanctuary of Lourdes.

For this we must all heed the call of Mary's Son, "Come, follow me" and begin in earnest the journey of faith.
