Week of Prayer for Christian Unity - Student Multi-Media Contest

Ecumenical Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (WPCU) will be held on January 18-25, 2018. It will include a student multi-media contest open to any 9th-12th grade student(s) in Northern California who participates in Christian congregation/denominational activity (team entries are acceptable).

Theme:

"Your Right Hand, O Lord, Glorious In Power" (Exodus 15:6)

Participants are invited to submit their work in any multi-media form that promotes the WPCU theme and ecumenical work. Examples of multi-media submissions include, but are not limited to: a written essay, a visual form, or digital or video production.

All submissions will be judged for historical accuracy, adherence to the topic, organization of materials, interest, originality, and neatness. Submissions must include the student’s full name, Christian affiliation, mailing address, email address and telephone number.

Suggested areas of research include: denominational writings on Ecumenism and The week of Christian Unity; Graymoor Ecumenical & Interreligious Institute; interviews with local church leaders or local people or groups who exemplify Christian witness in action.

Cash Awards: Winners will be honored at the WPCU dinner on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacramento.
