Bishop Emeritus Patrick J. ("P.J.") McGrath of San Jose passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Below is a statement from Bishop Jaime Soto:
"Bishop McGrath was a good and wise pastor of souls. He always had a word of encouragement for his brother bishops. I will miss his Irish wit and clever humor. May the Lord Jesus welcome his faithful servant to the kingdom. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace."
