Deacon Raymond P. Arnold, who was ordained to the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of San Diego in 1998, and served the Diocese of Sacramento for more than seven years, died on June 1. He was 74. He served at Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Redding.
Bishop Jaime Soto will preside at a funeral Mass for Deacon Arnold on Wednesday, June 28 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, located at 2600 Shasta View Drive in Redding. A reception will follow.
The vigil for Deacon Arnold will be held on Thursday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah.
