Deacon Alani Vivi, who was ordained to the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Sacramento on June 5, 2004, and served St. Anne Parish in Sacramento for 19 years, died on June 30. He was 60.
Bishop Jaime Soto will preside at a funeral Mass for Deacon Vivi on Wednesday, July 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Church, located at 7724 24th St. in Sacramento.. A reception will follow the Mass in the parish hall. The rite of committal will be held following the funeral liturgy at St. Mary Cemetery, 6509 Fruitridge Road in Sacramento.
The vigil and rosary for Deacon Vivi will be held on Tuesday, July 11 at 6 p.m. in St. Anne Church.
He is survived by his wife, Faiva.
