As the Diocese of Sacramento during 2017 observes the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal, the faithful are invited to attend evenings of prayer to pray as a family in community.
Each of the evenings will include the Blessed Sacrament exposed, a family rosary, the sacrament of reconciliation and prayer time. Some parishes will also host a procession.
The evenings of prayer will be held on the following dates, times and locations:
--Sunday, Aug. 13: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Procession, Blessed Sacrament exposed, family rosary, confession and prayer time. At Immaculate Conception Church, 3263 1st Ave. in Sacramento.
--Wednesday, Sept. 13: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Blessed Sacrament exposed, family rosary, confession and prayer time. At Good Shepherd Church, 9539 Racquet Ct. in Elk Grove.
--Friday, Oct. 13: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Blessed Sacrament exposed, family rosary, confession and prayer time. at St. Ignatius Church, 3235 Arden Way in Sacramento.
