Go quickly and tell his disciples, He has been raised from the dead, and he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him.” This was the angel’s message to the women who had gone to the tomb looking for the body of the crucified Jesus. He was not there, he had been raised from the dead to the glory of God the Father.
This message of the angel is spoken to us.
At the heart of the resurrection is the intense, intimate, ardent love between the merciful Father and his beloved Son. The love between the Father and the Son has existed before all eternity. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, all humanity comes to the share in this intense, intimate, ardent relationship between Jesus and his Heavenly Father. In the resurrection of Jesus, human nature is clothed in divinity. Jesus bring his humanity and ours into the eternal loving embrace of the Father.
His resurrection was for our sake. John’s gospel told us that Jesus loved his own and loved them to the end. With the resurrection Jesus returned to those he loved so that he could be with us and love us without end, for all eternity.
Jesus’ love for us makes us a new creation. In Jesus we are the delight and glory of the Father. Together with Jesus we are the acceptable offering to the Father.
The joy Jesus gives us is for others to see. The mercy Jesus has shown us is the gift we offer to others.
In all these ways, the story of Jesus’ resurrection continues in our lives. This everlasting communion of life and love will renew the face of the earth.

Vayan pronto y digan a sus discípulos: Ha resucitado de entre los muertos, y va delante de ustedes a Galilea; Allí lo verán". Este fue el mensaje del ángel a las mujeres que habían ido al sepulcro en busca del cuerpo de Jesús crucificado. Él no estaba allí, había sido resucitado de entre los muertos para la gloria de Dios el Padre.
Este mensaje del ángel nos es hablado.
En el corazón de la resurrección está el amor intenso, íntimo y ardiente entre el Padre misericordioso y su Hijo amado. El amor entre el Padre y el Hijo ha existido antes de toda la eternidad. A través de la muerte y resurrección de Jesús, toda la humanidad llega a participar en esta relación intensa, íntima y ardiente entre Jesús y su Padre Celestial. En la resurrección de Jesús, la naturaleza humana se reviste de divinidad. Jesús lleva su humanidad y la nuestra al abrazo eterno y amoroso del Padre.
Su resurrección fue por nosotros. El evangelio de Juan nos dice que Jesús amó a los suyos y los amó hasta el final. Con la resurrección, Jesús regresó a los que amaba para poder estar con nosotros y amarnos sin fin, por toda la eternidad.
El amor de Jesús por nosotros nos convierte en una nueva creación. En Jesús somos el deleite y la gloria del Padre. Junto con Jesús somos la ofrenda aceptable al Padre.
El gozo que Jesús nos da es para que otros lo vean. La misericordia que Jesús nos ha mostrado es el regalo que ofrecemos a los demás.
De todas estas maneras, la historia de la resurrección de Jesús continúa en nuestras vidas. Esta comunión eterna de vida y amor renovará la faz de la tierra.
