The Black Catholic Ministry Office in partnership with St. Josephine Bakhita Ministry at Good Shepherd Parish in Elk Grove invite all diocesan youth and young adults (ages 13 – 25) to showcase their artistic skills at the 2026 Music, Art, and Poetry Contest (MAP26 Contest). This year’s theme is “Imago Dei, Made in The Image of God”. Participants are invited to express through music, art, or poetry what “made in the image of God” means.

The Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministries is partnering with five local mental health professionals who are active Catholics in our diocese for a panel discussion on mental wellness and young people. This workshop is intended for all adults who work with young people and/or have an interest in understanding how to accompany young people through with mental health and wellness. The cost is $15 per person with lunch included. There is a discount of $10 per person for parish groups with 10 or more participants.
