Parishes are evangelizing communities of faith, justice and solidarity. It is where we encounter God, and where we are called to bring God’s love, to a world in desperate need of the seasoning of the gospel.
Throughout this series, we will explore how we can integrate the Elements of Parish Social Ministry (Advocacy, Solidarity, Community Organizing and Charity) within the life of the parish so that we may be “salt of the earth” and “light of the world” in our communities (cf. Mt 5:13-16)
Session 4, November 4th: Kingly Mission Manifested through Community Organizing
Through the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation, we share Christ's Kingly mission of seeking God's kingdom of justice in the world. In this session, we will explore how Community Organizing promotes, life, dignity and justice.
