Parishes are evangelizing communities of faith, justice and solidarity. It is where we encounter God, and where we are called to bring God’s love, to a world in desperate need of the seasoning of the gospel.
Throughout this series, we will explore how we can integrate the Elements of Parish Social Ministry (Advocacy, Solidarity, Community Organizing and Charity) within the life of the parish so that we may be “salt of the earth” and “light of the world” in our communities (cf. Mt 5:13-16)
Session 3, October 28: The Eucharist as Catalyst for Solidarity
Upon receiving the Eucharist, we are m,oved to self-giving action in solidarity with those facing injustice. We will explore how our parish ministries can embody this moral and sacramental responsibility.
