Mass of Reparation for the Anniversary of Roe v. Wade
Office of Family & Respect Life
January 22 marks the anniversary of the lamentable 1973 U.S. Supreme Court Decision, Roe v. Wade. While Roe was overturned in 2022, Proposition One was passed in California, embedding the practice of unrestricted access to abortion in our State Constitution. Recognizing the sin of legalized abortion still afflicting the people of California, in the Diocese of Sacramento, January 22 is designated as a Diocesan Day of Reparation. All are asked to observe this Day of Reparation through fasting, prayer, penance and works of mercy.
Please join us for a Mass of Reparation offered by Bishop Soto at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, to pray in reparation and for an end to abortion.
