Saint James School is a thriving Transitional Kindergarten – 8th grade Catholic school located in Davis, California. St. James is currently seeking to employ a part-time Technology teacher who is excited to share his/her technology knowledge with students and staff. Weekly technology classes using iPads and Chromebooks are for Transitional Kindergarten-5th Grade students along with a technology-based elective for Junior High students. Other responsibilities include managing the school’s student information system.
Candidate should be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing, hold a current CA teaching credential, and be able to demonstrate competency in all areas of content responsibility including classroom management, computer literacy, standardized testing, and interpreting data. The teacher is entrusted directly with the spiritual and academic preparation of students, fostering knowledge, skills, and understanding the necessity of post-secondary education. The teacher is further entrusted with the students’ social and personal development, providing guidance and example that promote Christian values, responsible behavior, and self-fulfillment. The teacher performs this trust in cooperation with the parents, who are the primary educators of their children, with the assistance of support staff and under direction of the school’s administration.
